What’s the difference between "Zodiac", "Horoscope and Astrology?
The word “Zodiac” is derived from the
Greek word for “circle of animals” which we now refer to as the Constellations. The word “Horoscope” is the position of the Planets at a certain place and time. Astrology is the study of the stars and encompasses all three components to cast a chart or make a prediction.
When most people consider their horoscope they base it on what they read in the daily paper (or now on the internet). This form of astrological reading is actually “Sun Sign Astrology" and uses the current position of the planets on a certain day and predicts the “fate of the day”. This is a fun way predict the possibility of your day, but it isn’t personal like you natal birth chart. A natal birth chart report shows the positions of the planets at the time of your own birth based on the geographical location of where you were born and the time you were born. This gives an astrological perspective of who you are at your core. It is used to share insight on your personality and your life path.
Astrology is a wonderful way to gain better inside into who you are, and why you choose what you choose. The more you understand yourself, the better you can move forward in living your best life.
